The Suntrup family have been selling and servicing cars in the St. Louis area since 1957.  They always promise you the lowest prices, the highest level of service and, ultimately, "Satisfaction with a Smile."

Bill Suntrup started the first dealership in the 1960s; a decade later his brother Don Suntrup entered the auto business.  Today, the grown children of Bill and Don Suntrup are among the more than 20 family members who are active in the Suntrup Automotive Family, a group of automotive dealerships that had $500 million in sales in 2005.

Chris and Tom Suntrup, Bill's sons, are partners in Suntrup Ford Westport, Suntrup West County Volvo and Suntrup West County SAAB.  Additionally, Tom Suntrup runs Suntrup Ford Kirkwood and Suntrup Buick, Pontiac, GMC in St. Peters.  Another of Bill's sons, Barry Suntrup, is president of Suntrup West County BMW.

Don Suntrup's children, Butch and Craig, are partners in Suntrup Nissan/Volkswagen, Suntrup Hyundai and Suntrup Kia; all in South St. Louis County.  Butch, Craig and their cousins, Jim Suntrup Sr. and Jim Suntrup Jr., operate a pre-owned vehicle store in South County called Suntrup Select.

"All the Suntrups started early in the business, beginning at about age 12, and working at 'grunt jobs' at the dealerships--washing cars, cleaning parts, and painting the walls," says Craig Suntrup.  "During our college years, we'd come back in the summer and sell cars.  Personally, I always felt I would end up in the business."
